Is Vindale Research a scam?

Or is it a legitimate opportunity?

Read our Vindale Research review and find out the truth behind it.

If you like, skip the review and read the 30-second summary.

Are you looking for a solid way to earn passive income online? Read about my favorite program.

1. What is Vindale Research?

Vindale Research is a survey site that allows you to earn money by sharing your opinion.

Vindale Media, LLC is the company behind it.

It has worked for more than 11 years and is only available in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia.

The primary way to earn money using their website is to answer online surveys.

However,

There are other ways you can earn money on their website:

  • Surveys (You can earn money by taking paid surveys. Depending on the survey, you can earn approximately something from 0.5$ to 20$. The higher the reward is, the more time it takes.)
  • Reward Codes (You can participate in some challenges, polls, alerts, etc., and find a reward code you can redeem in exchange for cash.)
  • Referrals (They claim you can earn $5 for every friend you refer.)
  • Photo (You can earn $5 for sharing a video or photo from your Vindale research earnings.)
  • Reward Mail (Reading paid emails is another way you can earn money. You can earn $0.1 for reading every paid email. (Important: Never use your email.)
  • Videos (Your last option to earn a reward is to watch paid videos.)

You cannot cash out until you earn a minimum of $50, which is a high limit.

For comparison, let’s take a look at the cash-out threshold of some popular survey sites:

Swagbucks lets you cash out at $20.

Inboxdollars has a limit of $30.

SurveyJunkie’s minimum cashout is as low as $10.

2. Does Vindale Research Worth Your Time?

The answer is a simple no!

But why?

It is simple!

Even earning a small reward, you should spend a lot of time.

Time is gold, and spending time on online surveys is like throwing gold away!

How much earning a few dollars online can change your life?

NOTHING!

It won’t pay your bills.

You might be wondering:

If it is not worth your time, why do some people encourage you to join Vindale Research?

The answer is:

Because most of them are affiliates, and they earn a commission when you join the program through their link.

As an affiliate, I think promoting high-quality products is friendly and helpful.

However,

Regarding survey sites,

You need to know that most people promoting these websites are not earning money by taking online surveys themselves.

They are earning commissions by referring you to take online surveys.

The reason I never recommend taking online surveys is that:

I only promote the products I use. Like WA University, which shows you the right direction to a steady online revenue.

I use it myself, and I recommend it to my valuable readers.

3. Vindale Research User Dashboard

Let’s log in to Vindale Research and explore it.

When I logged in for the first time, I saw this message:

Vindale Research review - Welcome offer

I also received four promotional emails in less than an hour since I signed up. (I think this is not a nice policy.)

You can see the tutorial in a nutshell in this picture:

Vindale Research review - Guide

To qualify for surveys, one must answer a list of personal questions. (I didn’t do it.)

Now,

Let’s take a look at the member area.

The main section is the survey section.

Vindale Research review - Surveys

Here is a list of available surveys on my dashboard:

When writing this review, the average reward per survey is around $1.5.

Another section in the dashboard is the panel’s section.

In the panel’s section, you can find a list of other programs:

Vindale Research review - Panels

When you click on the Apply Now button, it redirects you to the new website.

For example, here is what the i-Say website looks like:

Vindale Research review - iSay panel

As you can see,

For each program, you should sign up and type your details again.

I’m not too fond of it because of two reasons:

First,

It is a privacy concern to send your data to different websites. (Some of them did not even use HTTPS, which is a must-use security protocol. )

Second,

It is frustrating to sign up for each program separately.

Finally,

Let’s check out the Reward code section.

Vindale Research review - Reward codes

It’s a simple page where you can redeem your reward codes.

You can earn a rewards code for retweeting unique posts, answering daily questions, participating in a poll, etc.

Reward codes are usually worth $0.5 to $1.

4. Who is Vindale Research For?

First, let me emphasize who it is not for!

If you are serious about making money online, IT IS NOT FOR YOU!

Vidale Research is for people who want to have fun while earning a little money online.

I know.

Earning even 1 dollar online feels good.

The final point is:

It’s not a reliable source of income. It’s just a way to spend your time in exchange for a tiny reward.

5. Is Vindale Research a SCAM?

No, it is not.

The website has been live for quite a long time.

The company behind the domain is known.

Their contact information is valid.

There are several positive reviews and testimonials.

So,

It is not a scam.

However, I do not recommend it.

Because

It may not rip you off by soaking your money, but it will waste your time.

On the other hand,

Spam emails may never leave you alone.

If you like to try their service, do not use your email.

6. Vindale Research Reviews and Complaints

First, we take a look at Vindale Research BBB status:

There are 44 reviews on BBB, with an average rating of 4.22 out of 5.

48 complaints have been submitted. 19 complainants verified their issues had been resolved.

ConsumerAffairs has 124 reviews:

91 of the reviews are rated 1 out of 5. The average rating is 1.5 out of 5.

15 reviews are also submitted on Yelp.

The average rating on Yelp is 2 out of 5.

The final website we checked is TrustPilot.

Vindale Research has seven reviews with an average rating of 2 out of 5.

What most people are complaining about are:

  • Taking too long to get qualified for surveys.
  • Receiving a lot of unwanted emails.
  • High threshold for cash out.

A few reviews on ConsumerAffairs claim that they couldn’t cash out even though they had reached the $50 threshold.

On the other hand,

What satisfied users mention in their reviews are:

  • It is a legit company that pays fast with PayPal
  • The number of available surveys is relatively high
  • The user-friendly help center

7. What Are Other Top Survey Sites?

Remember,

Doing online surveys for small amounts of money is not a stable income source.

However,

If you like to try survey sites,

Here is a list of the most popular and trusted sites you can use:

SwagBucks

It is considered one of the most popular survey sites.

If you are looking for a safe alternative to Vindale Research, Swagbucks should be the first website on your list.

MyPoints

Mypoints lets you earn points for your online activities, such as shopping.

They also have a survey system where you can take polls and answer surveys.

You can redeem your points for gift cards.

InbosDollars

It is a trustworthy survey site with a lot of offers.

The downside is that it is only available to residents of the United States.

SurveyJunkie

SurveyJunkie is another popular survey site.

According to Alexa, their website has lower traffic than previous alternatives.

But

They are growing very fast and are considered one of the best in the industry.

Vindale Research Review in Summary

Here is a summary of our review:

  • Vindale Research is a legit survey site
  • You can earn money by completing online surveys, watching videos, reading emails, referring friends, etc
  • It is available in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada
  • The cash-out threshold is high. You cannot cash out until you earn at least $50
  • It is not worth your time because the earning opportunity is minimal
  • If you want to use their service, do not use your email

What bothers me about doing an online survey is that:

On the one hand,

You should spend a lot of money for a few dollars.

On the other hand,

You should risk your details.

I strongly recommend you spend your time wisely.

Start investing in yourself instead of wasting your precious time filling out online surveys.

So it doesn’t look like a scam to me, but I agree it doesn’t seem worth your time either. There seems to be a lot of stuff you can do on the site however, I am not sure how long it would take you to reach the minimum threshold which is really high ($50).

Time wasting is far too easy on the internet. You are better off investing your time in a sustainable, stable business.

The $50 threshold is high in the survey world. It will take quite some time to get there and many people quit before they get there.

This review has a worth.I myself also joined in online survey and it is true that taking survey consume our precious time to earn a few dollars or even only a penny. The most I hated when taking a survey is when it says that I am not qualified for that survey after answering my personal data.So I decided to quit and looking for another way to earn income in the web.

    Great Post!
